She signed with IMG in 2006 and began a career gracing the catwalks and campaigns of the world's most influential designers and brands including; Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Lanvin, Prada, Marc Jacobs, Stella McCartney, Balmain, Celine, Hermès, Jean Paul Gaultier, Dolce & Gabbana and Hugo Boss.
Her famously curvy figure and gap-toothed smile set her apart from other models of her generation, securing her editorial coverage in no less than seven international editions of Vogue.
Her famously wobbly catwalk strut has been attributed to her unusually small feet for someone so tall (she wears a UK 5). As a result she told French Vogue in February 2009 that she doesn't enjoy appearing on the catwalk at all, constantly telling herself whilst walking, "Do not fall, do not fall!"
She made an appearance in French Vogue in October 2009 with her face and body blackened, resulting in an international racial controversy, and appeared for Jaeger, Eres and DSquared for autumn/winter 2009-10
